ON Networks Presents New Episodes of Popular Internet
TV Show Dinner with the Band
Featuring F@cked Up
AUSTIN, Texas (Billboard Publicity Wire via Business Wire EON) September 28, 2007 --
On the heels of his new restaurant and lounge Tailor opening in
Manhattan, hipster chef Sam Mason
wraps up the first season of the popular new show Dinner with the Band
(www.dinnerwiththeband.tv)
with performances by Toronto punk band F@cked
Up. Available on the Internet and through video-on-demand services
such as iTunes, Dinner with the Band is a virtual mash-up of indie
music and culinary delights.
Mason hosts Dinner with the Band in his apartment, usually in a
t-shirt and jeans, bringing a casual, non-intimidating approach to his
dishes that stimulate the palate as well as the dialogue. For the
five-member punk band, Mason prepares vegetable papillotes (baked in a
foil pouch) served over quinoa, along with a colorful roasted beet and
goat cheese salad. While cooking, he interviews the band about life on
the road, their favorite meals and upcoming performances.
Music lovers and foodies alike can watch the show online at ON
Networks or download it for free from iTunes and view it on their
iPhone or video iPod. The band takes the virtual stage on September 24,
performing “David Comes to Life,”
“Meat Parts,” and “Blaze
of Glory.” A hardcore punk band, F@cked Up is “five
polite Canadians who play melodic hardcore like they invented it, equal
parts Donnas, Poison Idea, and street punk gobbing in the mix,”
says a recent review by Dusted.
The band also performs at the upcoming Pop
Montreal festival where Dinner with the Band hosts a gourmet
evening of experimental food and music at Le Bisou on October 6.
F@cked Up follows previous Dinner with the Band guests that
include hip hop mastermind El-P,
indie rock band Pela, Canadian indie
band Tokyo Police Club, punk
rockers Cities on Fire,
dance-pop quartet Holy Hail, and Los
Angeles rapper Pigeon John.
